Dear Raising Americans Subscribers,
Hello! It’s hard to believe April showers have arrived already and the last of D.C.’s cherry blossoms are blanketing the landscape. I hope you’ve been doing well during these first few months of 2024. Thank you once again for continuing to allow me the privilege of visiting your inboxes.
I’m excited to share that I’ve recently started working as a research fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), a Washington, DC-based nonpartisan 501(c)(3) research institute focusing on national security and foreign policy. I’m conducting research and writing on issues at the intersection of education and national security, including antisemitism in education, foreign funding and influence in American education, and education for American global competitiveness.Â
Hope you will read my first three publications with FDD, the first of which is a policy brief published on March 27 about Tutor.com:
New Legislation Seeks to Stop Pentagon From Using China-Controlled Tutoring Service
I published this op-ed on March 15 in RealClearEducation:
The Campus Antisemite’s Secret Weapon
And here’s a link to a piece published with the Washington Examiner on February 16:
California Teachers Caught Sharing Pro-Hamas Propaganda
Here’s a little more detail on FDD from its website:
FDD conducts in-depth research, produces accurate and timely analyses, identifies illicit activities, and provides policy options – all with the aim of strengthening U.S. national security and reducing or eliminating threats posed by adversaries and enemies of the United States and other free nations.
Founded shortly after the attacks of September 11, 2001, FDD conducts actionable research, prepared by experts and scholars from a variety of backgrounds – including government, intelligence, military, private sector, academia, and journalism. It brings proficiency in foreign languages, law, finance, technology, and other skills to its work.
FDD regularly provides open-source research and analyses to policymakers and the media. Since its founding, FDD has shared its expertise with the Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations and Congressional offices on a bi-partisan basis.
While I’ll be continuing to share links to my FDD publications with you here, you can always go directly to fdd.org to view my latest work.
Thank you all for supporting my work and for caring as much as I do about raising Americans and how we can do better.
Sincerely,
Antonette
What a sweet job! Looking forward to reading these.
